iPrint app guide for Epson printers

Step by step guide to using the iPrint app on your Epson printer and iPod touch/phone or pad. The app will automatically detect the nearby wireless Epson over Wi-Fi and lets you take control of them with your device.

Launch Epson iPrint by tapping the Epson iPrint icon.

    1. The Epson iPrint splash screen will be displayed.
    2. Select an available Photo Album to print an image from.
    3. Choose an available image from the selected album.
    4. At this point, no printer is currently selected. Tap the printer icon.
    5. The Select Printer screen displays any available printers.
    6. Tap to select and confirm a printer.

    Epson iPrint preferences

You can print to a different paper size or layout and adjust the printable area of the image using Epson iPrint. No additional apps or programs are required to print an image from your Apple iPhone or iPod touch.

    1. After you have set up a printer for use in Epson iPrint, choose the image you wish to print as per the instructions above.
    2. Tap the symbol to show the print settings.
    3. In the Settings screen, tap to select the layout type (borderless or with borders) and the paper size.
    4. Select your paper size from the menu and tap Set.
    5. You have the opportunity to adjust the image before printing.
Image position adjustment allows you to move the position of the image if it is not the same aspect ratio as the selected paper size. This enables you to minimise cropping of an important area of an image and sacrifice less important areas of the image. This may be helpful when printing with the borderless layout setting.
Tap Print when you are ready to print the image.
    6. The screen will then display the activity icon, this is confirmation that the print job has been sent to the target printer.

Now that you know how easy it is to use your ipod/iphone with your Epson printer, make sure you don’t get caught short of Epson ink or paper… remember to stock up and have a set of Epson inks in the cupboard ready for your next impromptu printing session.

    Canon ink cartridge options

Our Canon compatible ink cartridges produce high quality prints, save you money and are very reliable. I can’t compare on the newer range of cartridges yet as we still use the older range of ink cartridges here in the office for the Pixma IP4300, which is still going strong after it must be almost 3 years I think. We have a Brother printer at my feet which prints off the monthly invoices happily enough but as soon as it comes to any sort of advertising material or picture papers we want printed on I will get it ready on the USB flashdrive to take to the Canon printers computer as I know the results will be there with whatever paper I throw at it, as well as undertaking it’s daily processing of the website orders and business day to day running tasks.

The savings to be made using cheap ink cartridges are not to be ignored, change your ink cartridges even just every 3 months and at this moment in time you would be saving a whopping £202.47...

    • 4 sets compatible Canon ink cartridges with chip on or website at the moment are £44.86
    • 4 sets of Original Canon inkjet cartridges £247.28…

    Canon PIXMA MG6150 Inkjet All-in-One Wi-Fi Printer

Wi-Fi prining from Canon. Now you can have this as the added bonus to the high quality user friendly machines. Wireless is what everyone wants now, no more tangle of cables gathering dust behind our desks. We are slowly but surely getting sleeker in the world of accessories in the computer world.

Canon as a printer manufacturer are also making the experience more intuitive and easy to follow for their users. The Intelligent Touch System they have developed invites you to follow the light guided touch panel which works along side a 7.5” TFT display. Another pleasant addition to the Pixma MG6150 printer is in the software where you can play your movie and then pause at any time to capture the frame(s) you wish to print. No more missing the vital moment if it is all on video – simply play and pause at your leisure to print the image that jumps out.

This Canon printer is working on 6 canon inks. Grey is there as an option to provide professional looking monochrome prints as well as improving the tonal graduations in your colour printing. Great colour reproduction working alongside its 2-way paper feeding and ability to print directly onto compatible DVDs, Blu-ray® discs and CD-ROMs means this machine can do much more than just print off the holiday snaps.

    Epson S22 user comments

Sometimes you see a cheap printer and think it may be too good to be true. Surely you cant pay just over £20 and get a decent piece of equipment to print of your essays, tickets etc. I decided here instead of letting you know what Epson say about their printers, like how fast they are and how many DPI, which Epson inks you need etc that I would just look for users reviews and a selection of independent comments will tell the users side of the story.

I was pleasantly surprised by the comments. So here they are below, most giving 5 stars, and the last complaining about the printer, but as it appears to have gone faulty within 2 weeks then the lady would have been able to get a new replacement as she had purchased it within 30 days by the looks of the comments. This used to be Epsons guarantee anyway, within 30 days was a brand new product, after this time then a refurbished item would be sent.
